Too hot to even have them in the pool this afternoon (46.2 *with humidex* according to Environment Canada). So thank goodness mama is nuts and took you to the library huh?
Pile of new books... including the complete Curious George anthology. Guess who is going to be suckered in to more than one bed time story tonight? As well as the Ice Age DVD and after a long hard thinking process and two sets of big blue eyes begging me... Scooby Doo on VHS...
So there we go. Boys are on the couch in varied states of dress (m2 is in his underpants and a t-shirt) staring blankly at the television and md is upstairs snoozing.
Dog.... dog is getting groomed as I type. Whew... the other night I was sitting on the back step brushing and brushing and brushing him... the more I brushed, the more came out. The neighbour with the yippee rat-dog came along between houses and asked if we'd dyed their dogs hair or something?
Seriously, I must have removed three Pomeranians worth of fur in that one session!
I'm sure he will feel better with his nails clipped and some of that fur off.
Husband is enjoying a day off, I think...
They had to send home two of the kitchen staff... they both had serious heat related health issues. So all the other staff on the campus are helping out in the kitchen. The temp in there was 43 this morning at six. From what I understand, some of the regular kitchen staff are snoozing through the day and doing prep/cooking at night now. They already went to paper & plastic for the service, dishwashers running is just not an option. Campers are no longer allowed in certain buildings... the whole camp is just crazy hot! Thank goodness it is the last week!
Had a great little play date here yesterday... waffles, berries, syrup, and of course whipped cream for lunch...
Then lots of fun for the two little men. M1 seemed to be pretty good. Of course the Coke Slurpee that was brought through the door for me was the crowning moment of the month! AHHHHHHH SLURPEEEEEEEE!
Hoping the babysitter calls me back ... I think I'll be pathetic and go to a movie by myself tonight if I can.
