Two in the morning, three stitches.
Okay, in my sleep deprived state I hit enter instead of tab.... sorry to the blogliners.
So six and a half hours after arrival, monster #1 got strapped down and stitched up with that ugly old black stuff. Seems that the chin is a very tricky place when it comes to flaps of skin hanging off. He was not a candidate for the "sticky stitches" as it was explained to husband. He was very brave. He got a new puzzle from the nurse for being such a good, brave boy ... it was a long night for everyone in the childrens emerg from the sounds of things.
The physician who was to do the stitching, was very nervous. So much so, that he was sweating to the point that his glasses almost fell on the monster! My husband caught them as they were coming off his face. Poor guy is on a peds rotation. In the ER. May God have mercy on his soul. Husband figures he may not be seriously considering peds as a lifetime commitment after some of the cases walking in there last night.
So in seven to ten days we will have to take him to a walk in to get them out. Just in time to go back to school.
The stand mixer has done up whipping cream all ready. As well as pancakes. GUYS, how long has this stuff been around!!!! The damage is minimal in this photo...
Today it will be making some sort of a flat bread, Naan or the like. To compliment the hot cheese dip I plan on consuming in large quantities... Good times tonight, good times.
Just got a stand mixer cookbook from the Kitchen Aid recipe forums. Will have to peruse for more!

Chin stitches have got to suck. Poor kid.
Tell your hubby, "nice catch!"
I have discovered with the new blogger that if you log in after you've typed a comment, you lose your comment.....
One of my foster siblings growing up had to get chin stitches. He picked them out himself because they were itchy. Ew.
I'll post pics from my parents alpaca farm soon, but in the meantime you could visit alpacavistaranchdotcom. It is the website of some of my parents alpaca assocation friends.
