Instead of packing...

We decided to blow this popsicle stand and go on a day trip!
To wind turbines... yeah I know driving to the alternative energy site... Ironic isn't it?!
Had a picnic at the school yard with the great play structures. Flew the kite that lives in our van... what else would one do on the plains of wind farms?!
All in all a delightful afternoon... ended with corn from the roadside stand, bbq'd meat and spatzle... whose recipe shall follow one of these days. YUM!
Oh and of course the requisite new knock knock joke.
Monster #1 is obsessed with knock knock jokes, yet does not quite follow the proper set up...
So we had a little fun with him this afternoon, causing me to almost drive off the highway! Here is the joke between husband and monster #1

M1 knock knock

H no one is home!

M1 It's just a joke!!!
knock knock (a little louder this time)

M1 Lets try this again (giggling)
knock knock (slightly more exasperated)

H try the doorbell

M1 Okay... DING DONG!

Fits of giggles and I just about choke with laughter!

Of course, once getting into the double digits of repeating it... not so funny.
But showing creativity!
