Okay, this is getting a little crazy!
The weather that is.
Last night at exactly five... the internet went out. Bad nasty thoughts for the internet provider after 17 minutes waiting for a customer service representative. I gave up and decided a weekend without internet can't be that bad right....
AAAAAAAA!
So whilst getting the md to bed after her splashing adventure with the monster brothers (BTW... anyone have advice as to when to separate bath times?)
ZSCHUMMMMMM.
No power.
Feel my way into the boys room, get teddy bears... make my way to the main floor hoping md stays put under her blankets.
Husband gets a hold of local hydro emergency line. After the hunt for the cell phone, which was upstairs after all!
Poor guy must have repeated
a lot last night!
Needless to say within 15 minutes we had power again. Or in monster time, three Curious George stories curled up under dragon blankets and the big comforter mommy keeps for such emergencies... with a dozen candles lighting our living room.
Our house kept the heat pretty well. If anything we would have packed up and used the last of our meager account and got a hotel room... with a pool for after breakfast swim...
This cold snap has got to end!!!!

Gawd. Thank you Jesus for fast returning power. Yikes. Makes mental note not to complain about Southern cold snap which is really balmy by world standards...
